Modern heating and air equipment could only function with a wide variety of sensors to provide it with a constant stream of information. Some furnace sensors are designed to check for a flame inside the heater. Others can calculate the outside temperature and adjust the amount of air moving through the ductwork accordingly. The most notable aspect of this market space is how newer HVAC sensors replace older models. Technicians must remove the existing module and swap their new HVAC sensors. Once the system is powered back up, it should function the same way as the original models did. For instance, those who used LN-VSTAT-1 devices should find that the newer LN-SVSEN-0 from Johnson Controls will serve as a drop-in replacement without needing significant refactoring work.

System Sensors

System sensor D4120 modules are another great example. These gas and smoke detectors can replace existing 70-600000-054 HVAC sensors and those with serial numbers that start with 70-600000-157. By combining a robust sensor circuit with advanced electronics, engineers have made using a single device in both potential use cases possible. 

HVAC installers and those who manage enterprise-scale systems may want to invest in a series of these if something goes wrong with their current stock. Professionals who work with full-scale heating and air conditioning solutions will also want to take a closer look at the variety of HVAC sensors made specifically for their market segment.

Industrial HVAC Sensor Equipment

Only some of the furnace sensors you'll find are commercial-grade modules. Honeywell Analytics offers a chlorine dioxide sensor that can detect airborne material down to about 1 part per million. This is sensitive enough to work in some of the most exact situations. 

Multiple units could be chained together to provide a degree of coverage over a much larger area. Rheem-Rudd AP19134 rope water sensors may also be helpful to those who find themselves managing a more substantial installation of any type.
